What Are Threaded Lifting Pins?
These threaded lifting pins are a reliable part designed for lifting and holding individual loads. Other lifting parts, such as eye bolts, require screwing in and out of the component every time you want to lift it. This is often time-consuming. Alternative solutions require that you incorporate separate bored locating holes - this is not always possible for some components.
Wixroyd's threaded lifting pins have an aluminium button - below the hinged shackle - which the user can push to release the thread elements for easy installation. In this way, you can utilise threaded holes that already exist, but insert and remove the lifting pins quickly and easily - streamlining the process.
Threaded Lifting Pin Application Mechanism
It's As Easy As 1-2-3...
1. Press button to retract thread and insert or remove the pin.
2. Release button to allow thread to expand and lock into the threaded hole.
3. Rotate to ensure threads are indeed engaging correctly with the threaded hole.
Key Points
- Available in thread sizes M10, M12 and M16.
- Depending on the model, the maximum lifting capapcity is up to 840 kg.
- Available in 2 materials: (1) steel, heat-treated with manganese phosphate (for added corrosion resistance), and (2) precipitation-hardened stainless steel (AISI 630 series, which is inherently very resistant to corrosion). Both options have stainless steel springs and threads.
- The stainless steel lifting pin is weather-resistant and is therefore exceptionally suited to outdoor use.
- Both variations of pin are protected from corrosion and are heat-resistant up to 250 ℃.
- The hinged shackle incorporates a safety bar that sits over the button during use, thus protecting the button from accidental knocks or presses.
