An index plunger is a mechanical device that has a retractable pin that is retracted and automatically expands when space becomes available, thereby locking or indexing an item into place. Index plungers can be used to ease the positioning of removeable parts on machines, equipment assemblies and to help locate the correct component. Available with a variety of different grips and locking functions to suit different applications.
Our technical engineers are always on hand to provide assistance choosing the right type of index plunger for your application. Free CAD files are available for our index plunger products to provide you with all the materials you need and save your time.
Fully stainless steel no-locking index plunger. This makes it suitable for the demands of food processing, pharmaceutical or water treatment applications.
T-handle grip, non-locking index plungers. Easy to grip handle helps improved handling when using safety gloves or other situations when an operator has limited dexterity.
Lever grip index plungers with 90° or 120° actuation. Three different types available: without rest position, with rest position and with a safety rest position.
Non-locking steel index plunger. Ideal for either pressure (push) and tension (pull) applications, due to the uniquely designed spring loaded pin with threads at both ends to allow installation of your own adaptor or handle.
Turn 90o to lock in position. Available in grip handle and in a version with a safety key to protect against unauthorised actuation.
